dc.descriptionEsta investigación explora la relación entre la riqueza de especies presentes en el bosque y la riqueza de conocimientos que poseen las comunidades; adicionalmente se analiza la relación entre el Índice de Valor de Uso (IVU) con el índice de valor de importancia ecológica (IVI). Los resultados muestran que la gente de las comunidades estudiadas conoce los nombres y usos de 166 especies el 82 % de las registradas; detectándose también una relación positiva entre el IVU y el IVI para las categorías de alimento animal, construcción y uso tecnológico, pero ninguna relación para las categorías medicinal, alimento humano, ornamental y veterinario.en_US
dc.description.abstractThis investigation explores the relationship between the richness of species that are in the forest and the knowledge that the communities have; the relationship between the Use Value Index (UVI) and the ecological importance index is also analyzed (EII). Results show that the community people know the name and uses of a 166 species, 82% of the registered, there was a positive relationship between both indexes for the animal food, construction and technological use categories, but there was no relationship for the medicinal, human food, ornament and veterinary use categories.en_US
