| dc.description.abstract | En el Ecuador los altos niveles de deforestación han originado problemas como la erosión de extensas superficies, avance de la frontera agrícola, aumento de la concentración de los gases de efecto invernadero, reducción de los caudales en diversos sistemas hídricos y en general un desequilibrio de los ecosistemas, teniendo como consecuencia un deterioro del régimen de vida de la población, especialmente la del sector rural. En este tiempo se deben propiciar actividades en torno al rescate de la vegetación forestal andina, sus usos y beneficios a parte del carácter nativo que tienen, las hacen especies idóneas para plantaciones forestales, agro-forestación, protección de cuencas y fuentes de agua, conservación de suelos, desarrollo rural, entre otras. | en_US |
