| dc.description | The present research aimed to study the biological activity of the essential oil from the rhizome of Renealmia thyrsoidea subsp. thyrsoidea. The antimicrobial activity was evaluated against pathogenic microorganism Escherichia coli ATCC8739TM, Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC 9027TM , Staphylococcus aureusATCC6538PTM, Streptococcus mutans ATCC 25175 TM , Candida albicans ATCC 10231 and Candida tropicalis ATCC 13803 , the disk diffusion method was used in agar test allowed to measure the in vitro susceptibility of pathogenic microorganisms from essential oil Renealmia thyrsoidea subsp. thyrsoidea using as positive control the natural essential oil of Thymus vulgaris , also used as a positive control for gentamicin 10μg synthetic bacteria , yeasts and nystatin 100 μg to DMSO as negative control. | en_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo el estudio de la actividad biológica del aceite esencial del rizoma de Renealmia thyrsoidea subsp. thyrsoidea. Se evaluó la actividad antimicrobiana frente a microorganismos patógenos Escherichia coliATCC8739TM, Pseudomona aeruginosa ATCC 9027TM, Staphylococcus aureusATCC6538PTM, Streptococcus mutans ATCC 25175, Candida albicans ATCC 10231y Candida tropicalis ATCC 13803; se utilizó el método de difusión de disco en agar, prueba que permitió medir la susceptibilidad in vitro de los microorganismos patógenos frente al aceite esencial de Renealmia thyrsoidea subsp. thyrsoidea utilizando como control positivo natural al aceite esencial de Thymus vulgaris, también se utilizó como control positivo sintético 10μg de gentamicina para bacterias, nistatina para levaduras y DMSO como control negativo. | en_ES |
