Canteoneando la costa ecuatoriana: Cantón Guayaquil

Abstract

This communicative product seeks to show the virtues and value that the Guayaquil canton has, with the aim of projecting its cultural diversity and being the epicenter of tourism recognized as a canton full of variety, which welcomes natives and foreigners; hospitable canton, full of opportunities that allows promoting social and economic inclusion work, opening doors for citizens to demonstrate their abilities with new projects through their ideas. Delve in detail from its beginnings to the present. This information is considered important, because not only is data transmitted, but the history is enhanced through documentary research based on the daily life of the inhabitants of the canton, for which the customs and traditions of the Guayaquil canton are identified, from the experiences and knowledge of its inhabitants. The methodology used is qualitative, descriptive in scope, resorting to the snowball sampling design to apply the interviews, in addition to using direct observation, which allows us to recognize problems related to history, cantonization, customs and traditions, gastronomy, flora and fauna, enterprises, recognized people, sports and representative places, tourism, myths and legends.
