Abstract

Job stress is characterized by feelings of pressure, anxiety, and tension arising from situations in the work environment. Moreover, it is important to highlight that being an employee entails more than a mere monetary exchange for work performed. On the other hand, a worker is defined as someone who performs work personally subordinated, either physically or morally, to another person. The main objective of this study was to investigate levels of job stress among workers and employees of the Autonomous Decentralized Municipal Government of Zamora. The research adopted a quantitative, cross-sectional, and descriptive design, using a sample of 100 participants, consisting of 33 employees and 67 workers of both genders, predominantly aged between 31 and 40 years. A questionnaire was used to collect sociodemographic data and the ILO-WHO Job Stress Questionnaire.
