Resumen traducido: | The Shear Link Bozzo heatsinks (SLB) act in the non-linear range in order to generate a deformation in the device preventing structural damage in the buildings, for this reason it is important to perform a non-linear time-history analysis from three representative seismic events of the Equator, and thus obtaining from this analysis the fundamental characteristics of each structure. In the present study, a non-linear time-history comparative analysis was carried out using SLB energy dissipators compared to traditional construction methods, both in reinforced concrete and in metal structure, in order to determine which system presents a better behavior with these devices. For which two buildings with different architectural characteristics were modeled, which generated a total of eight models, four of them made of reinforced concrete and four in metal structure, of which two models correspond to structure with traditional method and two with the implementation of SLB heatsinks, the same ones that were analyzed in a structural computational package. The results that were generated in both construction systems show us that the SLB energy dissipators reduce these fundamental characteristics compared to the traditional methods proposed. |
