Abstract

The growing trade agreements reflect the importance of foreign trade in globalized economies. This article analyzes the economic impact of Ecuador's accession to the multiparty trade agreement, prioritizing trade relations between member states. Its double benefit for the country is highlighted, focusing on the automotive industry as the main example, with its notable contribution to GDP. The research adopts an analytical-descriptive approach, using mixed measurement methods such as interviews and surveys. It is based on theoretical methods such as historical-logical and analytical synthetic. Data for 2022 shows the benefits of the agreement in the automotive sector, with SUVs being the most imported European vehicles.
