Evaluación y diseño del tanque de almacenamiento y red de distribución de agua potable mediante bombeo, en el barrio San Cayetano, parroquia Cutuglagua del cantón Mejía

Abstract

The main objective of this project is to drastically change the conditions in which the inhabitants of the urbanization San Cayetano lives, providing them with an efficient service of drinking water, located in the canton Mejía, part of the parish of Cutuglagua, it has about 181 inhabitants in all its extension and borders with the Panamericana Sur Avenue, at an altitude of 3011 masl. As an engineering project it comprises two stages of great importance. In the first one the technical and social information is gathered through field visits and examination of the study area, as well as the implementation of the census and it is concluded with the topographic study that was carried out through the governmental entity IGM. In the second stage the data obtained were analyzed to give solution directly to the design of the storage tank and distribution network taking into account that the supply will be done by pumping. The simulation to have a close idea of the behavior of this drinking water network is carried out using the WaterCAD hydraulic software due to its versatility and optimization. It should be emphasized that as well as the parameters and results obtained in this design of distribution network and storage tank were carried out under the INEN standards of the Ecuadorian Code of the Construction of Drinking Water Facilities guaranteeing the quality and efficiency of this work.
