Análisis de la incidencia del Acuerdo Comercial Multipartes en el sector exportador cacaotero, periodo 2020-2021

Abstract

The present investigation is aimed at analyzing the incidence of the signing of the Multipart Trade Agreement between the European Union and Ecuador, on the exports of cocoa and its derivatives between the period 2020-2021. For this case, firstly, an analysis of the export statistics of Ecuadorian cocoa and its derivatives was established before, during and after the signing of this agreement; that is to say, 7% of the exports that Ecuador has, this figure represents exports to the European Union, since with the signing the exports have increased gradually. Therefore, to carry out the investigation, interviews were used as a research instrument for the cocoa sector, gradually the export statistics were investigated in reliable sources to provide a contribution to this article. The results obtained showed that the signing of the Multipart Trade Agreement has helped small and medium-sized producers a lot, since it provides trade facilities to enter a very competitive market, on the other hand with statistics and according to the opinion of experts in In the matter, it is evident that after the signing, exports of cocoa and its derivatives have increased, but in 2020 it had a sharp decrease due to Covid-19, in addition to the fact that certain parameters were established with the signing of the agreement.
