Abstract

The purpose of the following work is to create a vision to the reader, of what the resources of the community can do to contribute to the public sector that manages security, in this way join efforts to increase the possibility of identification of people, follow-up of these or monitoring of specific events in certain neighborhoods of Guayaquil, all this through video surveillance. We will focus on shared video surveillance, it will be called shared because part of the execution of said citizen surveillance is derived from the equipment of the user who needs protection, generating a service that at the same time contributes and serves both the citizen and the public sector. Security will always be important for any citizen and the governments of the day always contribute with varied solutions that allow us to provide security to citizens, we citizens will always ask for more from the new governments, but we could also make a contribution to one of the most common security solutions currently carried out by the institutions in charge of it, This document focuses on the current surveillance by cameras that ECU911 and the Corporation for Citizen Security of Guayaquil (CSCG) have, which would be given the benefit of adding to its equipment possibilities, equipment made up of cameras of common families that keep these overlooking the street and thus have a broader vision of the neighborhoods of the city.
