Análisis de la influencia del sistema de transporte masivo Metro de Quito frente al uso de vehículos particulares de la Universidad Politécnica Salesiana Campus Sur

Abstract

The research work "Analysis of the influence of the mass transportation system Metro de Quito against the use of private vehicles at the Universidad Politécnica Salesiana Campus Sur" arises from the need of the lack of parking spaces in the facilities of the institution being limited spaces for this purpose in relation to the existing demand of users. This aspect has caused different inconveniences both in the waiting times to access a parking lot through a lottery of tickets demanding the use of places near the university with the possibility of an altercation such as theft or damage. The general objective is to analyze the influence of the Metro de Quito mass transportation system on the use of private vehicles at the Universidad Politécnica Salesiana Campus Sur by collecting information to promote the use of public transportation as a mechanism that contributes to mobility at the institution. The project is based on a quantitative approach since the collection of information is done through a statistical and mathematical method. Lastly, it is necessary to propose alternatives of mobilization through the promotion of the use of the Quito Metro to optimize travel times to the university and at the same time contribute to the environment.
