Análisis del comercio ilegal transfronterizo de arroz en el cantón Daule, año 2021

Abstract

For many years there have been multiple effects on the farmers of the Daule canton, the one that has the most impact is the illegal passage of rice across the Ecuadorian borders; Therefore, qualitative research of a documentary and descriptive level field type is presented, in which an interview was conducted with an expert and ten farmers who represent the key informants of the research. The objective of this work was to analyze the illegal cross-border trade of rice in the Daule Canton, for the year 2021 based on information obtained from primary sources as well as from magazines, newspapers and web pages. From the results it was known that there is an illegal cross-border passage of rice production to Ecuador and there is a greater sale of illegal rice than that of national production, which generates large losses for farmers and low profitability in the production business. It was also known how is the management and control of price support in the stackers and the little importance that governments have towards the situation described. Given the findings found, some recommendations were made in order to reduce the illegal passage of foreign agricultural products and to involve and benefit, with greater emphasis, national producers in local agricultural projects.
