Estudio de la sostenibilidad de los negocios informales en el sector del Cerro del Carmen

Abstract

The objective of this academic article is to analyze the sustainability of informal businesses in the Cerro del Carmen sector through a diagnosis of the current state of informal businesses, identification of the factors that limit the functionality and legitimacy of informal businesses and the assessment of the behavior of informal businesses in the Cerro del Carmen sector and its impact on the sectoral development of the economy of Guayaquil. The document to be presented has a mixed methodology approach, since it has quantitative and qualitative aspects, being the use of surveys and interviews to determine the current situation of Cerro del Carmen and consumers. The research applies scientific observation to identify and define the emerging informal businesses in Cerro del Carmen and to know the reason for the insertion of new merchants in this type of business. In turn, it is stated that the research is documentary and not experimental, since files and similar documents are used that contain theoretical information and statistics regarding the object of study already raised and experiments as such are not applied. With this material, it concludes with a real evaluation of the current situation of informal businesses in the Cerro del Carmen sector and the aspects that comprise their sustainability. The results of the investigation show that informal businesses in the Cerro del Carmen sector are widely accepted by residents for different reasons.
