Diseño de la red multiservicios del Hospital de Atención Integral del Adulto Mayor de la ciudad de Quito

Abstract

At present, the deficiency that exists in the country's hospitals has been evidenced by not having an adequate technological infrastructure to meet the demand for network services, connection problems, slow service, non-existence of wireless network points for users, in the Hospital de Atencion Integral del Adulto Mayor, a new network design is needed that complies with the established regulations of structured cabling for hospitals, scalability, redundancy, greater width, quality of service, videoconferencing, voice over IP. In this project, the current network of the Hospital was analyzed, detecting several shortcomings and a network was designed that satisfies the needs of scalability, redundancy, voice, data and video, quality of service (QoS), analyzing the traffic and the costs that the design implementation. Information was analyzed that the current network, in addition to having an incorrect distribution of network points, with the new design it was possible to mitigate these problems by incorporating new services, structured cabling and new equipment that meet the appropriate requirements for a Hospital according to with the current regulations, with the simulation carried out, the values such as data loss, delay and Jitter were verified with the new design, having an improvement with respect to the current network and finally it was possible to establish the possibility of the project through the analysis of costs that reflects positive figures both in the execution and in the recovery of the investment.
