Propuesta de rediseño de la topología en la infraestructura de la red de comunicaciones de la Fundación Tainate en la ciudad de Cayambe

Abstract

This degree project aims to implement the different knowledge that was acquired throughout the career by proposing the redesign of the data network of the Tainate Foundation located in Cayambe canton in the province of Pichincha and will allow to have a greater performance of it, as well as better security and thus avoid different disadvantages that the network has. The foundation network consists of 3 areas, the administrative area, the area of the Mechanics Workshop and the Training area, it is proposed to change the switches that are in the Administration area and the Mechanics Workshop, increase the network points in all areas and their corresponding labeling. For cabling, the use of single-mode optical fiber is proposed, since the network is within an area of 2 kilometers and UTP cable category 6a which allows working at speeds of up to 10Gbps. The implementation of a model according to the change in the network structure is proposed so as not to depend on the UPS "Cayambe" network. Tools such as PRTG and Wireshark will be used to evaluate the performance of the current network, while the Opnet application will be used for the simulation of both the current network and the proposed network.
