Desarrollo e implementación de una aplicación web para el registro de asistencia y calificaciones de los estudiantes del colegio nacional Vicente Rocafuerte en la ciudad de Guayaquil

Abstract

The present degree project was carried out with the objective of helping the teachers of the "Vicente Rocafuerte" Fiscal Educational Unit with an automated system for registering qualifications and assistance that helps to replace the manual processes of academic data in Excel files, giving as consequence a technological lack to the institution. The project has different modules to which teachers who are registered in it will have access, such as: records of subjects, teachers, students, courses, as well as how to make assignments and also enter the notes and attendance of the students. For the development of the front-end of the web application, a CSS graphic design language and the Bootstrap framework were used, for the back-end it was developed with Python and PostgreSQL was also used as a database. Through field research and analysis, the high satisfaction of the teaching staff was demonstrated thanks to the implementation of this web application.
