Proyecto para la creación de una casa del adulto mayor para la atención y cuidado diurno ubicado en la parroquia de Machachi del cantón Mejía.

Abstract

The objective of this project is to analyze the feasibility of creating a House for the Elderly for Attention and Day Care Located in the Parroquia de Machachi del Cantón Mejía, with the purpose of promoting the active aging of this priority group in a condition of poverty, extreme poverty and vulnerability, through gerontological services and occupational workshops, which allow the comprehensive development of skills and abilities, helping their socialization and integration in their homes and the community in general. The financial technical feasibility is obtained through the analysis and preparation of a cost sheet in relation to the Technical Standard for the implementation and provision of care and care services for older adults, taking primary and secondary sources that serve as support as relevant information for the execution of the project. At the same time, data collection techniques were used to establish graphs and statistical data that are relevant to determine the viability of the project.

Once the corresponding analysis has been carried out, the viability, profitability and sustainability of the territorial development project are obtained as a result, for the implementation of gerontological services within the Mejía Canton district, for the benefit of older adults in poverty, extreme poverty and vulnerability; with a line of inter-institutional cooperation between the Ministry of Social and Economic Inclusion and Social Action of the Autonomous Decentralized Municipal Government of the Mejía Canton.
