Desarrollo de la red GPON de la empresa Signal-Internet para la ciudad de Guaranda

Abstract

In recent years, telecommunications services have experienced a growing demand due to various aspects related mainly to the requirements of a population that demands to be permanently and ubiquitously connected. These demands force companies to provide new services and optimize existing ones through the implementation of increasingly efficient technologies aimed at providing a better quality of service to its subscribers. This project refers to the development of a GPON network with FTTH (Fiber To The Home) for the Signal-Internet company, which is located in the city of Guaranda in the province of Bolívar. The objective of this project is the deployment of a network that provides high quality internet service at very competitive prices in order to meet the growing demand of the sector, replacing the current provision service that is carried out via radio link, which it is no longer sufficient due to stability and fidelity issues. For the development of the project, the GPON standard and the FTTH technique were analyzed to propose the design of the fiber network that encompasses the multiple networks involved and the equipment to be installed.
