Abstract

In the present degree work called "Manual of practices of basic and applied topography of the Salesian Polytechnic University" it has the purpose of being a guide for the realization of the practices of basic and applied topography, by means of methods used, handling of equipment and tools, that guarantee the execution, supporting the knowledge acquired in classes of the subject of Basic and Applied Topography of the Civil Engineering Career of the Salesian Polytechnic University. The manual will consist of a compilation of information for the development of each practice, complying with the tolerances and applying the current MOP design regulations, in addition to using the surveying laboratory equipment that is correctly calibrated. The development of the manual was supported by the results obtained in the realization of each practice executed in the field where the tolerance is greater than the error, the design values are greater than the minimum design values; both in the result of measurements of distances, azimuth, bearing and directions, the polygonals, geometric levelings, topographic surveys, photogrammetric restitutions and in the stake out of the different curves, complying with the precision parameters, it was possible to mainly describe the procedure of the practice carried out and explain the handling of each equipment used. As an essential contribution in the subject of basic and applied topography, students will be provided the opportunity to become familiar with the equipment and tools that are used in the practices with their respective employment or use guide.
