Abstract

In the Canton La Joya de los Sachas, the Mariscal Sucre Brisas del Jivino communities interconnects a road, being a section of 6,138 km in poor condition, which directly affects the population of the sector. Being the main economic activity of the agriculture and oil industry sector, the execution of the road study is justified to improve mobility and therefore contribute to the development of the sector. With the information uprised by the GADPO, the topographic study was carried out, determining that the type of terrain is Wavy with an average longitudinal slope of 5%. Based on this, the horizontal and vertical geometric design was carried out complying with the MOP 2003 norm. The information on the field traffic was collected, the Annual Daily Average Traffic was processed and an increase of 286 vehicles was obtained for the year 2039. By means of calicatas and the pertinent tests it was determined that there is a soil type SM and ML according to the SUCS classification, and according to the AASHTO classification it is had types of soils A-2-5, A-2-4, A-4, A-5, A-6. Subsequently with this information the pavement structure was designed: asphalt folder: 7 cm, Class 1A Base: 10.50 cm, Class III Sub-Base: 15.50 cm and Improvement material: 25.50 cm In the hydraulic design, it was determined that only the existing sewer is maintained at the crossing of the Red Jivino River, including an additional one of D = 2.00m, the rest of the sewers must be relocated. In the economic evaluation the IRR was determined (19.50%> TMAR (17.69%) which indicates that the project is viable, thus supporting the benefit / cost ratio, which has a value> 1, which means that the project It is economically viable.
