dc.descriptionThe Quito Historic Center keeps, aside from its heritage buildings, life stories of characters that make this place part of their daily life, since they have been working in this space for some years. This work portrays through a photographic book a small part of the value of the life of these actors that many times are invizibilizados on the part of the authorities and the inhabitants of the city in general. To this end, a case study was carried out to gather information about the lives of these characters and, together with the photographs, to translate it into the communicative product. Despite attempts by part of the power to make them invisible and catalog them as informal because they do not fall within the established order, they have resisted ordinances and controls, reappropriating these public spaces, in which they have been present for many years with the Sole purpose of having a means of subsistence. Development within the city should take into account all those who make it a metropolitan space.en_US
dc.description.abstractEl Centro Histórico de Quito guarda, a parte de sus edificios patrimoniales, historias de vida de personajes que hacen de este lugar parte de su cotidianidad, pues trabajan en este espacio desde algunos años. Este trabajo retrata a través de un libro fotográfico una pequeña parte del valor de la vida de estos actores que muchas veces son invisibilizados por parte de las autoridades y los habitantes de la ciudad en general. Con este fin se realizó un estudio de caso para recopilar información acerca de la vida de estos personajes y junto a las fotografías plasmarlo en el producto comunicativo. Pese a los intentos de parte del poder por invisibilizarlos y catalogarlos como informales debido a que no entran dentro del orden establecido, ellos han resistido a las ordenanzas y controles, reapropiándose de estos espacios públicos, en los cuales han estado presentes por largos años con el único fin de tener un medio para subsistir. El desarrollo dentro de la ciudad debería tomar en cuenta a todos los que la configuran como espacio metropolitano.en_US
