Abstract

For years the right to education has been violated in people with Down Syndrome due to several factors that will be developed in the following article. The right to education is fundamental, as well as the rest of the rights, for this reason the State should guarantee this right, through legislation and public policies that generate well-being for people with Down Syndrome. It is important to address this issue since we often leave it aside or simply do not give it importance, but why not give opportunities to people with Down Syndrome to study without any limits. Having this condition is not an impediment, rather this right to education for people with Down Syndrome should be quality education, inclusive, without discrimination and adapted to their abilities. People with Down Syndrome are divided into mild, moderate, serious, severe or very serious degrees of disability, but this does not prevent this right to education from being violated since they are very intelligent and capable of carrying out any educational activity, but to his way and time.
