Análisis de la inmigración y su incidencia en el mercado laboral de Guayaquil

Abstract

The following work presents an analysis of the incidence of immigration in the labor market of Guayaquil. The type of research is descriptive because it allows relating the variables and knowing how one influences the other. The design is non-experimental, field, documentary and cross-sectional. The general objective is to analyze immigration and its incidence in the labor market of Guayaquil. The survey and the interview are used as research instruments. Among the variables analyzed in the survey is presented: the place of birth of the immigrants, level of education, professional specialization, age, marital status, family nucleus, labor sector, among others. On the other hand, the variables analyzed with the interview with businessmen are: company sector, motivation to employ immigrants, efficiency of immigrant employees, professional level of immigrants, among others. It is concluded that the immigrant labor force impacts the productivity of Guayaquil companies, several factors that motivate migration to Guayaquil are identified, and the demographic profile of the immigrant who currently works in the city is clearly determined.
