Impacto del Wea Nekaptai en la formación humano cristiana de los ministros Shuar pertenecientes al Vicariato Apostólico de Méndez

Abstract

For over 50 years, the Wea-Nekáptai Seminary has evangelized the Shuar population in Morona Santiago with its own pastoral methodology. This article investigates whether this inculturated formation has had an impact on the practice of the Gospel in this community. The study used interviews and the historical method to find that the production of inculturated Christian texts and practices for the Shuar people has been significant in purifying the community's mythology and history in the light of the Gospel. The impact of the seminary is invaluable, with over 400 communities having ministers who support human-Christian formation in areas where priests cannot frequently reach.
