Diseñar un plan de mantenimiento en el área de producción de cubiertas de fibrocemento en la empresa Eternit Ecuatoriana S.A.

Abstract

The purpose of this project is to develop a maintenance plan that helps the machinery for the production of fiber cement roofs of the company Eternit Ecuatoriana S.A., to be kept in optimal conditions through preventive, predictive maintenance. With the elaboration of the predictive and preventive maintenance plan, it was possible to improve the productivity percentage of the plant in the fiber cement roof area, greatly reducing the hours of machinery downtime, which caused large economic losses. The maintenance matrix that was carried out and uploaded to the company's system (SAP), was prepared taking into account each machinery that exists in the production area of the covers, from where the process begins to where it ends. Activities, frequencies and procedures were established to carry out maintenance on the different machines of the plant. All this could be achieved with the cooperation of the operating personnel, supervisors and managers, both from the maintenance area and the production area, who, having been in the company for so many years, have a lot of knowledge about the operation, the most common faults and the maintenance that has been done to the machinery. For the design of the master maintenance plan, it was necessary to know how the company works, in what environment the machinery is located, what products are used for the production of covers and to show for some time the various failures of the equipment, in this way it is possible to establish preventive/predictive maintenance actions with their respective periodicities. With this project, the beneficiaries will be all the collaborators who work and produce fiber cement roofs in the company ETERNIT ECUATORIANA S.A.
