Guía didáctica para desarrollar el vocabulario a través de experimentos de ciencia con niños y niñas de inicial 2

Abstract

The problem arose from the pre-professional practices carried out in an educational unit in which it was observed that a group of infants in kindergarten 2 had difficulties in communicating with other people due to lack of vocabulary, being a limitation for the teaching-learning process, school performance and the manifestation of their desires, thoughts and emotions. In the same way, it was observed that teachers did not plan activities to work on vocabulary since they focused more on other pedagogical contents. In the Educational Unit they did not have a pedagogical guide about the acquisition of vocabulary or oral language, for this reason the idea was born to elaborate a didactic guide to develop vocabulary through science experiments with children of initial 2 whose purpose was to perform experiments that allow the infant to increase vocabulary starting from different skills provided by the curriculum of initial education. The elaboration of the theoretical foundation was important because it helped to acquire knowledge about the different conceptual categories, such as: characteristics of vocabulary in infants from 4 to 5 years old, how to enhance the vocabulary of infants, how science helps the acquisition of vocabulary, how to work with science in early education, what are the elements of a didactic guide, how to elaborate a didactic guide, among others. These conceptual categories helped in the elaboration of the present didactic guide that is directed to teachers to help increase the vocabulary in infants based on science experiments. These experiments will help the infant to have a scientific attitude, manifest curiosity and taste for exploration, understand certain factors of the environment surrounding the infant, in addition to increasing vocabulary.
