Abstract

The purpose of the project is to analyze the design of the drinking water distribution network, sanitary and storm sewer system, and primary treatment plant, located in the San Fernando sector, Los Romeros subdivision in the canton of Rumiñahui - Sangolquí. The efficient supply of drinking water is proposed through the flow provided by the San Fernando storage tank, which is supplied through 5 filtering galleries located in this community. An analysis was carried out taking into account the place of study, type of supply source, population density and topographic conditions. The development of the project will benefit the inhabitants with a better quality of life, since they will have the vital liquid and the evacuation of sewage and rainwater in a safe way, with the sanitary sewage system and the treatment of residual waters it will eliminate the construction of septic tanks in the homes of the sector. This drives the growth of the economy of the sector since the execution of the work will create jobs. A new storage tank was dimensioned, in order to capture the inlet flow and thus prevent overflow from occurring in the early morning hours. Current regulations in Ecuador were considered in order to meet the criteria and specifications for both drinking water and separate sewage.
