Abstract

The main objective of this research is to establish the financial impact of COVID 19 on medical assistance and prepaid medicine companies that operate in the city of Guayaquil, Ecuador, determining the behavior of accrued claims and analyzing the main financial indicators that have been affected by this pandemic. The applied methodology is supported through the qualitative method, applying the analysis of the accounting and financial data of the study sector.
