Abstract

This work deals with free play, socialization and sexism in Initial Sub-level 2 in initial education in the 2018 school period, covered the approach and importance of gender stereotypes, through the practice of socialization in free play with a focus on Gender, therefore, reflects the importance of applying methodological strategies during the first years of life of infants, because in this phase boys and girls achieve global learning when they are at the age of learning and absorbing knowledge. The general objective of this research was to determine the way in which free play promotes sexist behavior in the socialization process in infants of Initial Sub-level 2. To achieve this purpose, the interviews aimed at the institution's teachers were applied as an instrument, to verify and identify the behaviors of the infants of Initial Sub-level 2 during socialization in free play. Additionally, bibliographic research was carried out in which the two variables of gender stereotype and free play were analyzed, supported by the theoretical framework, through books, theses, and articles, which allow us to argue our bibliographic study. Subsequently, the conclusions generated throughout this research work were reached, establishing that in games gender stereotypes are reproduced that comes as a social construction, that is, it is formed in the social fabric of the home.
