Abstract

In search of a better educational development of the young people of the Santa Ana Educational Unit, it is necessary to reinforce their studies with the use of technological tools that facilitate access to virtual platforms, directed tasks, and search for information that reinforces the knowledge of the educational community , for which this red design is made, with which all the requirements evidenced within the Institution will be covered. The "Design of the Campus Network for the Santa Ana Private Educational Unit" uses the hierarchical business model of Cisco, which is a professional way of making a design, it is carried out under current regulations for a possible deployment and installation, it is also carried out in conjunction with teachers and managers of the information technology area, to meet the needs of the institution. The design begins with the collection of information by means of the baseline survey, establishing the requirements, needs, and present problems to solve them, in a second stage decision tables are established for the choice of equipment that satisfy all the technological characteristics, the quantity of the same and the accessory for their deployment is dimensioned. Once the information has been collected, the network is dimensioned so that it can be used by all the people who belong to the educational communication, in addition, the logical design is carried out in a virtual environment, such as Cisco Packet Tracer, to demonstrate total convergence of the network, and finally verifying the benefits that can be obtained by deploying the designed network and the current network in the OPNET Modeler software, Finally, the economic study is carried out through an analysis of the costs of the total invested for the deployment of the network, using indicators such as the IRR, NPV, and the capital recovery time.
