Abstract

The present article entitled “Television on the Internet: a proposal for its design and implementation in Guayaquil-Ecuador” reveals the reality today in the field of entertainment, today's society is living in an era that has become a dynamic spectator, Innovative, producer and large consumer of internet content, mostly these contents are seen on the home television set aside the local channels that are responsible for keeping the Ecuadorian family entertained and informed with the different events of the town. Proposing the implementation of a television channel that is transmitted over the internet is an idea that has become accepted by the citizens of Guayaquil, the methodology that has been used is a quantitative approach for the reason that surveys have been conducted to obtain statistical data on this proposal. The results of this work were favorable, because the final objective is the implementation of a digital television channel in the city of Guayaquil, 73% of the people surveyed have knowledge about what a digital channel is, 97% have With internet service and more importantly 90% of the people surveyed would like to have a digital channel in the city of Guayaquil.
