Discriminación hacia el docente de género masculino dentro del ámbito de educación inicial

Abstract

This investigation is based on the discrimination towards the male teacher within the field of early childhood education, the same one that was carried out in the "Disney House" Child Development Center, where it was observed that the teachers who work in this institution are all female gender. The director of the Disney House, informs that there are no male teachers due to the fears that exist coming from the parents. The purpose of this research is to analyze the situation of male teachers in their role as educators of early childhood education, even if they have completed university studies. The research is qualitative, to collect this information, it was used the following methods as, surveys and interviews, all to gather legit information and be able to contrast it with the existing theories in this regard. It was possible to show that there are still existing paradigms in society that prevent men from practicing careers in early childhood education, maintaining sexist structures where socially men and women must choose their profession based on gender
