Abstract

The present work aims to make a video report that evidences the process of resignification of the Andean instruments of the “Joven Sikuris” project that belonged to the School of Andean Instruments of the city of Quito. The musical trajectory of the teachers of the project is intertwined in an exchange of experiences that, accompanied by the Andean melodies, transmit values of identity and ancestral belonging, which are reflected in what was the closing concert and the feelings of each participant. It is important to show the process of transmission of knowledge since the sounds emitted by Andean wind instruments have an essence that has passed from generation to generation, so after a year of having completed the project, an approach is made to four of its members to make known how Andean music and instruments have influenced and redefined their lives. This audiovisual communicative product informs the research process and can become a channel for transmitting emotions and knowledge that contributes to communicative development focused on awakening the interest of children and young people by opening paths that allow the Intangible Cultural Heritage of our country to be kept alive.
