Análisis y propuesta de rediseño de la red del Hospital Gineco Obstétrico pediátrico de Nueva Aurora - Luz Elena Arismendi (HGONA) para mejorar sus servicios y rendimiento de la infraestructura de red.

Abstract

This project propose to improve the physical and logical network of the Pediatric Obstetric Gynecological Hospital of New Aurora - Luz Elena Arismendi (HGONA), since the TICS department mentioned the inconveniences that were created by not planning the network infrastructure, in consideration of the activities and services of it. The objective is to give a better network at the logical and physical level; to provide the Internet service, guaranteeing its reliability, availability and security. Two methodologies were used PPDDIO and Top-Down. First, a survey gather the original information, second, following international wiring regulations, a draft was prepared. Third, the staff of the hospital answer a questionnaire; fourth, the quiz answers give the criteria to group and make the new VLANs segmentation. Economic viability has been did by qualitative analysis, which shows the benefits of the implementation of the new network, since it is a public institution without profit. The new logic network was test using the EVE-NG software simulator and the Wireshark monitoring software. The results was compared after the simulation the new network vs the original hospital VLAN segmentation and it showed a 78.30% improvement in bandwidth. The new physical and logical network proposed, ensures that the personnel of the TICS department get an administrable, secure, available and high-performance infrastructure.
