Análisis de contenido del diario "El Comercio" durante el año 2018 en torno a las personas desaparecidas en el Ecuador.

Abstract

In this academic article, a content analysis is carried out on the news of the written press “El Comercio” that contains information on the missing persons in Ecuador during 2018. 148 news items are collected on these facts that allow us to meet the objective General of this investigation. This topic is displayed in four different items on the types of disappearances that are found in the investigation, which are divided into: Disappeared in general, Disappeared found, Case Romo, and Disappearance of journalists and the Case of the border. Giving space to the construction of data collection from analysis categories, for that an informative matrix was made that allows to organize the collected data and prepare the tabulation with statistical graphs, complementing the research with the analysis of the data collected according to the axes discursive that allow the creation of the narrative. The main issues found according to the data collection matrix and the assignment of identified words from the cases, the questions that are: child trafficking, which refers to the sexual or labor exploitation of children; the protests, mentioning where in the capital it was considered and specifying was its objective; femicide, the case of the young Juliana Campoverde; and the murders at the border, about the cases of Javier Ortega, Paúl Rivas and Efraín Segarra of the journalistic group of Commerce and the Ecuadorian citizens Katty Velasco and Óscar Villacis.
