Narrativas sonoras: adaptación radiofónicade cinco leyendas del noroccidente de la provincia de Pichincha

Abstract

This is a compilation of legends that have the purpose of rescuing the cultural memory of people from the Northwest of Pichincha who were rebuilt over time and are now part of daily living. Some of them served so that those who listened to them straighten their paths and others through fear, leave bad habits The northwest of the province of Pichincha is one of the sectors that has undergone a tourist transformation in the last 15 years, which has generated an economic, social and urban development. On this last point we focus, since in seeking modernity, the popular and cultural memory of the peoples that make up what is now known as the Commonwealth of the Andean Chocó has been lost. Through the adaptation of these legends, we want to revalue the word and its way of arriving and being heard by the new generations. To carry out this series of 5 legends, with a duration of between 5 and 6 minutes, we began with a field investigation to five places in this region of Pichincha, to talk with adults between 68 and 75 years old; and hear from their lips those stories that were told by their parents and today they replicate them making these legends a tradition. The characters who lived these encounters with these mythological beings, told us the facts of how they happened and that despite hearing in other sectors about these entities, the legends change their content for the context where they occurred. Once the production stage of the series is completed, a copy with these legends will be sent to those who helped us with their stories, so that they can make them heard, in a simple language.
