Análisis comparativo de los algoritmos Radix-2 y Split Radix sobre el estándar de televisión digital ISDB-T.

Abstract

The present work consists in the analysis of digital terrestrial television, specifically on the ISDB-T standard, looking for understanding its operation based on an OFDM modulation scheme using two algorithms of the Fast Fourier Transform known as Radix-2 and a variant that joins the Radix-2 and Radix-4 algorithms called Split Radix, the purpose of the project is to establish a comparison between parameters of the transmission and reception of information applying these algorithms. The structure of the digital television standard ISDB-T was analysed to know its characteristics and configuration. So, it was possible to understand the block in which the Radix-2 and Split Radix FFT algorithms are applied. The simulation is based on a block structure developed in MATLAB's Simulink software that was modified in both modulation and demodulation for the use and analysis of the algorithms in question. This model contains basic aspects of the standard with OFDM modulation. With the obtained results from the simulation such as BER, delay and efficiency, the differences or similarities between the algorithms are indicated and the way in which these algorithms affect the performance of the system.
